Saying Hello Goodbye!

According to the little information box I haven't posted a new blog in 12 days. That's completely irrelevant, but nonetheless is the true all the same...

Now that I have wasted a minute of both of our time, I must present you all with very relevant information. This may come to you as a surprise, so hopefully you are sitting down, so as to prevent blunt force trauma injuries to anything as you fall down.... Here it goes.

School here at Grand View is almost over for a lot of people: those who are graduating, those who are done for the summer, those who are simply leaving for whatever reason. Next week is "finals week" and after this is commencement. Those of you who are graduating and have had the privilege of knowing me, it's a shame that our journey together is coming to an end. Some of you I have had run-ins with time and time again, others I don't really know, and still others, I have grown to be very fond of and am going to miss you a lot. I have not come to grips with the fact that after next week, I probably won't see you ever again, but it is starting to hit home pretty hard. The last class of graduates didn't have a lot of time with me, but I missed them just the same, but it has been another year with most of you. I could have had the privilege of moving on with you, but alas I am stuck here, by my own choice, for another year. I wish you all the best of luck, God's blessing, and I hope you have fun doing whatever it is you plan on doing: getting married, finding a job, going to Grad school, or any combination of things...

I guess why I am writing this is because I don't feel as if I can say these things to you in person. I'm not that kind of guy, I'd rather just pretend like nothing is going to change and that you're just going on vacation that won't end. I value everything you have taught me, and continue to do so in our last days together. It's no surprise to you that I'm a asshole, but you have somehow conquerored that fact, and became really good friends. I just hope you'll remember me, and one day we'll reconnect and I will find you doing everything you hoped you'd be doing. If not.. just remember, you'll always have a friend in me (unless your name is Ryan Cosgrove, Noah Judson, or Josh Rindernecht [sp?] --> I hate you guys). I'm just kidding... nonetheless... Thank-you!!
